Nichole Dominguez-Chávez is elated to be a part of the Risen Savior Catholic Community and has assumed the role of the Preschool Director. She attended Catholic school at St. Charles and graduated from St. Pius X High School. After getting married, Mrs. Dominguez-Chávez was a stay at home mom to her two children. Her son graduated from St. Pius in 2020 and is currently at NMSU, and her daughter is currently a junior at SPX. Mrs. Dominguez-Chávez is a proud Lobo and earned all of her degrees from UNM. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with additional concentrations in Social Studies, Literacy, and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). She continued her education and earned a Master’s degree in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies with a concentration in Literacy/Language Arts. Mrs. Dominguez-Chávez completed her administrative internship with the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Catholic Schools and earned her Education Specialist Certificate in Educational Leadership. She has a Level 2 Teaching License and a Level 3B Administrative License with the State of New Mexico. She has taught several grades in both the Catholic school and public school settings, as well as served as a Coordinator working on administrative teams. Having attended Catholic school, Mrs. Dominguez-Chávez understands the lifelong, positive impact a Catholic education can have.
When she is not teaching, Mrs. Dominguez-Chávez enjoys spending time with her husband of 19 years, cooking, and gardening.
