Summary: The Santo Niño Regional Catholic School (SNRCS) Custodial/Maintenance Employee will work with the school administrative team (Principal,and Office Manager.to provide a safe and healthy environment for students, staff and families. We are looking for someone experienced in Custodial and Maintenance duties, who would like a challenging position at a well maintained, beautiful facility.
Essential Duties:
Comply with all SNRCS policies as they apply to this job assignment
May need to work weekends or evenings periodically to support school activities
Report safety, sanitary and fire hazards
Perform maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing repairs, cleaning/maintenance equipment repair, painting, replacing ceiling tiles and maintaining light fixtures.
Clean assigned areas of the school including classrooms, bathrooms, workrooms, cafeteria, gymnasium, and exterior areas of the building.
Sweep and mop each classroom each day
Clean and sanitize high touch surfaces (doorknobs, countertops, etc.) throughout the day
Clean windows in office and entrances each day
Clean classroom windows as needed
Strip and wax floors (during summer cleanup)
Empty wastebaskets, trash cans and recycle bins
Replenish cleaning supplies for classrooms
Replenish bathroom supplies
Other duties as assigned
Supervise auxiliary cleaning crews when needed
Inventory, organize and order supplies
A successful applicant will:
Be organized and detail oriented
Seek feedback to improve performance of duties
Adapt well to new technologies
Work effectively with supervisors and colleagues
Observe safety and security procedures
Physical Requirements:
This job requires standing for long periods of time as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing and climbing.
