- About the Scholarship
  
  The African American Catholic Community (AACC) is an organization within the context of a multicultural church of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe that serves, supports, and reinforces the “African American Catholic family and individuals.” Through the implementation of the organization’s mission, the AACC is committed to the social, intellectual and spiritual growth of African American youth who attend Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. As a result, through gifts and grants provided to the AACC, scholarships are offered to eligible African American students, Catholic or non-Catholic, who attend or will attend Catholic schools in grades Kindergarten to Eight beginning in the fall of the 2026-2027 school year.
  
  ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  o African American student, Catholic or non-Catholic, in grades kindergarten to eight.
  o Enrolled or will enroll in one of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Catholic Elementary Schools.
  o Plans to attend school for the entire academic year beginning in the fall.
  o Applicants must have a C+ or better grade average.
  o For each applicant, parent(s)/guardian(s) must complete the online application, describe unique circumstance(s) of need and secure a verified level of need through the Grant & Aid Assessment in FACTS.
  o For each applicant, AACC will secure a signed verification form from the Catholic school principal/administrator. This form confirms that the applicant will be or is enrolled as a student at the Catholic school and has an overall grade average of C+ or better, if applicable.
  
  Applicants must meet ALL of the eligibility requirements and deadlines to qualify. Scholarship awards may be provided for tuition or some portion of tuition and fees to applicants in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. Individuals applying for a scholarship should submit a complete application here by using the form below. Applications must be completed and submitted online on or before Friday, March 13, 2026. Notification letters will be forwarded to the scholarship recipients and schools by Friday, May 1, 2026.
  
  Scholarship recipients and their families are expected to attend the formal recognition of the award on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the noon AACC Mass at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande, 5901 St. Joseph Dr NW. Principals may recognize the award recipient(s) at the school. The award may be published in Archdiocesan media outlets including PMD Express, the Archdiocese of Santa Fe website, Facebook page and X.

  By completing this application, I as parent/guardian acknowledge that upon acceptance of a Fr. Rollins Lambert Scholarship to my child, I grant Authorization for Use of Child(ren)’s Name, Likeness, and/or Photographic Image where such permission is required. I acknowledge that the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, the African American Catholic Community and the Fr. Rollins Lambert Scholarship Committee may use my child’s name, likeness, and/or photographic image in the production of the following, including, but not limited to: Archdiocesan newsletters, Archdiocesan websites and brochures about the scholarship, required reports to Fr. Rollins Lambert Scholarship funders, and videos promoting the Fr. Rollins Lambert Scholarship. I understand that if, for whatever reason, at any point in time, I decide to revoke this agreement, and I so notify the Office of Social Justice and Respect Life in writing at 4000 St. Joseph’s Pl. NW Albuquerque, NM 87120, all references to my child (i.e., name, likeness, and/or photographic image) will no longer be used. I understand that web page references and web page photographic images will be removed within thirty (30) days of the written notification. I understand that the Archdiocese of Santa Fe is not responsible for access to internet information or downloads made by users using the web prior to this removal of web references (i.e., name, likeness, and/or photographic image). I further understand that my child’s name, likeness, and/or photographic image may continue to be used in any publication already printed or published prior to my revocation of the consent provided herein.
