St. Therese Catholic School, located in the North Valley, will be celebrating the school’s patron saint, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, also known as St. Thérèse of the Child of Jesus or the Little Flower. She was canonized in 1925 and declared a Doctor of the Church by Pope St. John Paul II. Her feast day is October 1, so traditionally, the church and school celebrates this feast day on the weekend closest to her honored day. This year, the church Fiesta will be October 2 and 3. The entire school will celebrate Mass on Sunday, October 3 with the parishioners of St. Therese Catholic Church. The students will then perform songs of praise and hope at the Fiesta for their families and community. The songs are intended to give confidence to the community. Many in our community have experienced trials in the past year or more. St. Therese Catholic School wants to give back to the community with their message expressed in song at this year’s Fiesta.
