OLA Students - Service Within Their Own Neighborhood

Our Lady of the Assumption 5th-8th grade students pack food boxes and work the clothing bank at their neighboring school, Hayes Middle School (HMS). This is done monthly with the 5th-8th grade students.   Originally this service project started with going across town to Roadrunner Food Bank (RRFB); then it was discovered that HMS has a RRFB in their school!  They are excited to walk to do our community outreach!  This is part of the School Wide Learning Expectations (SLEs), "Service to God and others".
