This wonderful achievement was recognized with a Mass, on the Feast of the Archangels, celebrated at San Felipe de Neri Parish in Old Town by by Archbishop John C. Wester. Students, teachers and staff alongside Superintendent Susan Murphy, Principal Ashley Powledge, Father Gabriel Gomez Lopez and Interim Principal Donna Illerbrun were in attendance. The gathering then processed to the San Felipe de Neri School lawn where Superintendent Murphy read a declaration on behalf of Mayor Tim Keller declaring the day as San Felipe de Neri Catholic School’s 140th Anniversary. Archbishop Wester and Principal Powledge then cut the celebratory ribbon and presented the 140th Anniversary plaque.
We congratulate the hard-working teachers and staff as well as the students and community on this wonderful milestone. May God allow San Felipe de Neri Catholic School to continue providing excellent Catholic education in Albuquerque for many more years to come.
