On Friday, September 27, 2019, the Office of Catholic Schools celebrated the 36th Annual Archbishop's School Fund Dinner. Attendees gathered at Sandia Resort & Casino for what resulted in a successful night for Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. The funds raised during this event directly benefit Catholic school students with financial need in the form of Tuition Assistance. Archdiocesan staff, community members, businesses, and organizations came together to support this cause and aid in promoting the value of Catholic education.
The night included a private reception for major donors, a live and silent auction, a raffle, dinner, and speeches from keynote speaker Mike Murphy and student speaker, Daniel Marsh. The night's auctions included items donated by local businesses and organizations as well as baskets hand-picked by individual Catholic schools. Murphy, a St. Pius X alumnus, promoted a fearless and faithful approach to life's challenges while Marsh expressed the benefit of Tuition Assistance in his academic career.
This year, the 2019-2020 Teachers of the Year, together with their school principals, were honored by Archbishop Wester for their hard work and excellence in Catholic school teaching.
The evening highlighted the efforts and generosity of the archdiocesan community in bringing support to families in need. The Office of Catholic Schools would like to thank all sponsors, donors, and volunteers for continuing to bring stability and optimism to our Catholic school students.
Be sure to mark your calendars for next year!
