Throughout the year, OLA hosts various pageants and performances, including a play about St. Juan Diego and Our Lady of Guadalupe and re-enactments of the Nativity and Stations of the Cross. OLA caters to our families’ spiritual needs by encouraging them to attend Adoration, Confession and Mass regularly, particularly on weekends and during our weekly school Mass on Wednesdays, pray the “Living Rosary” multiple times throughout the year, and serve those in our community through various service projects such as supporting the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Locker 505, and the Good Shepherd Center. We also provide links to faith-formation programs, such as “The Bible in a Year Podcast” and “The Catechism in a Year Podcast” by Fr. Mike Schmitz, and “The Great Adventure Bible Study” by Jeff Cavins. This relationship extends also to our older students as we prepare them to become the leaders in our church through serving as Mass Buddies and partnering with younger students in various religious activities, during retreats, and for special feast days.
