In 29 days, the Saint Pius community came together and granted the wish of Luis A. and his family to visit Disneyland. Not only was the fundraising goal reached quickly, but the combined efforts of SPX High School, St. Thomas Aquinas School, and Prince of Peace Catholic Church led the way for a statewide high school Make-A-Wish campaign record. The student led effort culminated on November 1st, when 2-year-old Luis and his family were presented with a check for $10,865.64.

On Saturday, October 28, 2017, the Santo Niño Regional Catholic School (SNRCS) 6th grade class was fortunate to participate in a service project that would change the way they look at service projects forever. This service project hit especially near and dear to their hearts. It involved a fellow Santo Niño student, Johnny, who was diagnosed with leukemia while attending Pre-K at Santo Niño.
St. Mary’s School in Belen honored close to 50 Veterans at an annual Veteran’s Day program. Judge John Chavez, Colonel in the US Army, Ret. was the guest speaker for a gymnasium full of families, friends and parishioners.
The Jared Box project was started in 2001 by the children at Our Lady of Victory School in State College, Pennsylvania to honor their classmate and friend, Jared. He was a brave little boy who battled cancer with courage and faith that continues to inspire us all.
